Biography
I have been around softball ever since was born. One of my grandfathers and my dad played fast pitch softball until the age of 60. My other grandpa and my mother coached High School Softball with tournament wins. With all of this family tradition, it's obvious why softball is a big part of who I am.
My older brother plays baseball and fast pitch and has helped me improve immensely. Not only could I hit and catch a softball, I was also able to hit and catch a baseball at a higher level. Every time my brother improved, I improved also. As a child, I would beg my brother or my parents to play catch, hit to me or pitch to me, there was never a time that I avoided playing softball. I was on a stellar all-star team that made it to district finals many times. I realized that I was different the same time I realized that I needed more, more adrenaline, more improvement, more talent, and more competition. One year we weren't able to gather a team for all stars because these girls were only here to pass time. I was there for the win, the long run, and more time to play my favorite sport; this year was when I realized that I was different. Softball wasn't just something fun for me; it was a love, a passion, and mostly a way of life.
My family has helped in major ways to open my eyes, to help me find my true love of this sport. This passion of mine runs through my blood and I hope it continues for many years to come.
