Biography

As a ten year old I tried out for a 10U travel team in Grand Rapids Michigan. In my first season with the team I threw a no hitter and a perfect game. The perfect game came in the USSSA state tournament in Canton, Michigan. I continued to enjoy much success with the program. In the summer of 2013 after completing my eighth grade year, I competed with my high school summer team and in my first start threw a 4-0 shutout through four innings before reaching my pitch limit for that outing.
I continued to train through the winter working on my pitching, hitting, and fielding.
In the Spring of 2014 I began my freshman season of high school baseball. After the completion of try-outs my abilities were recognized and I became a starter on varsity as a 14 yr old freshman.

In my first start on varsity against conference rival Coopersville, I was able to carry my team to victory by throwing a 1-hitter and shutting them out 1-0 becoming the youngest player in school history to win a game on varsity at 14 yrs old.
In my third start on varsity I threw a No-Hitter against conference opponent Wyoming in which I became the youngest player in school history to throw a No-Hitter.
After the completion of my 2014 freshman season I competed on my travel team where I enjoyed much success on the mound, in the field and at the plate. My success at the plate was highlighted by a two run home run I hit in the semifinals of the 14U BPA State Tournament. This home run catapulted my team to the finals where we eventually won and were the 14U State Champions.
After much success with my high school and travel teams I was promoted from my 14U travel team to the top 16U team within the program. As a 15 yr old I continued to work hard through my sophomore season and was able to touch 84mph last April on the radar against Ionia at 5/3 Ballpark home of the West Michigan Whitecaps. I am now ready for my 3rd varsity season as a junior and have worked hard in the off season on my game and in the classroom to improve my strength and skills. I have attended several collegiate camps during the off season and am looking forward to the 2016 season. As I continue to meet new coaches I look forward to exploring the educational and athletic opportunities at the collegiate level.
I have worked hard to always be a great person, a great player and a great teammate. I understand the importance of always being a great representative of my coach, my team, my school and this great game of baseball. Best of luck to you and your team and thank you for viewing my resume. I look forward to hearing from you! - Logan

Campbell receives 1st Team All-Conference honors!
May 31, 2016
16 year old junior Logan Campbell topped off an outstanding conference pitching record with 1st Team All-Conference honors for the 2016 season. In a conference deep in pitching talent the hard throwing righty was only handed 1 loss in conference play and the only loss on the season.
Campbell propels high school team to all time wins record!
May 31, 2016
With a 16-1 victory in 5 innings, the 6K performance for Logan Campbell secured his 9th win of the season and brought his teams season win total to 24 which at the completion of the double header surpassed the record of 22 wins set by the 1997 team. Logan will now set his sights on bringing home a district title.
16 yr. old Junior Logan Campbell throws 2nd career varsity no-hitter!
April 25, 2016
4/22/15 - Logan struck out 5 allowing only one walk in a 62 pitch 6 inning mercy on Friday night at Belding High School against visiting Hopkins. But if you ask Logan Campbell what his biggest job as a pitcher is, he would tell you "Controlling the run game." While strikeouts are nice (31 k's in 25.1 innings) many pitchers forget that there is much responsibility when runners do get on. Logan will admit that if a runner does get on it was ultimately because of him. He either let them get a hit, walked them or they were hit by a pitch. Because of this he has a responsibility to keep those runners from advancing. Logan prides himself on controlling that run game and his hard work is paying off. Record: 4-0 ERA: 0.553 WHIP: .711 BAA: .099 IP: 25.1 Hits: 8 Runs: 5 ER: 2 BB: 10 K's: 31 While the occasional base runner has made it on Logan has taken responsibility having three pick-offs on the season. In one game he picked-off back to back base runners at first. Equally impressive he has not allowed a single stolen base on the year despite roughly 25 batters reaching base. Of course Logan feels not allowing runners on in the first place makes things even easier. He has taken care of business there as well. He throws a first pitch strike 65% of the time which 82% of the time has led to an out. In 22/25 of his innings pitched he has gotten the lead-off man out. Logan works hard to not only be efficient with his pitches but understands the importance of being a complete pitcher. He appreciates the hard work that his catcher and defense do and does his best to take pressure off of them and give his team the best opportunity to win each and every outing.
Logan Campbell receives athlete of the month honors!
April 25, 2016
4-20-16 - As Logan Campbell comes off a 12 strikeout performance in his last outing and moving his record to 4-0 he continues to also take care of business in the classroom. Because of his excellence on and off the field he was recognized as the athlete of the month for the month of April. Nice work Logan!
Junior Logan Campbell leads his team to a hot start for the 2016 season!
April 21, 2016
Junior pitcher, 3rd and 1st baseman Logan Campbell has been on fire! He is currently 3-0 on the mound with a 0.72 ERA. In his 19 1/3 innings pitched he has 26 strikeouts. At the plate he has been equally hot batting a solid .379 which has helped to get his team off to a solid 5-2 start.
15 yr. old touches 84mph!
October 30, 2015
On April 17, 2015 15 yr. old sophomore Logan Campbell took the mound against county rival Ionia at Fifth Third Ballpark home of the West Michigan Whitecaps. As with many minor league ballparks a radar gun is utilized as an added bonus to those who love to see the pitchers "Heat it up." Today was no exception as 15 yr. old Logan Campbell touched 84 mph midway through the 5th inning. Many on hand including his travel ball coach was excited to see the hard throwing right-hander reach that velocity especially because Logan still had several months before turning 16. With over two years before reaching his 18th birthday there is still plenty of room for strength and velocity gains for the young righty. This young flamethrower is definitely one to watch and will certainly be on the radar of college coaches looking to add a solid right hander to their rotation.
